About Rick & Jeff
Lloyd Scott began his independent aluminium siding business in 1969, out of his home in the town of Alma, just north of Guelph. Together with Betty, his wife of more than fifty years, the Scott’s raised four children and now enjoy their grandchildren who proudly carry on the family name.
Now, more than forty years later, his vision has grown into a diversified business that offers his customers a wide-range of home renovation and new construction services, employing a dedicated crew of professional installers, all of whom share his commitment to outstanding customer service.
Lloyd’s heritage in this community runs generations deep. Dedicated to his village, Lloyd Scott is a Charter member of the Alma Optimists, with more than 35 years of service. Today the essence of his character and his business philosophy remains in the practices of the company he started: small town values, centred around family and community.
Rick Scott joined his father’s business more than 30 years ago. Wanting to expand their range of services, Rick’s expertise goes beyond aluminium siding into the overall aesthetic of a home, with windows and doors to compliment the look and feel of a space. Whether customers are building from scratch or renovating existing places, Rick’s experience ensures customers solid advice and competitive pricing, with professional installation.
Rick and his wife are raising their three children in Centre Wellington, where he is an active member of the Elora Lions Club. Community-minded, Rick supports local businesses and service clubs, sports teams and events, as both a business owner and a community member. Rick’s work in the community is his way of giving back and staying connected to his neighbours and friends, and other small businesses too.
Jeff Scott returned to the family business in 1980, after pursing post-secondary studies. Returning to the family business full-time let him expand his knowledge in design technology and take a new direction of custom kitchen cabinetry installation and sales. Always interested in woodworking, learning by osmosis in his Dad’s workshop, he took wanted to explore cabinetry work, both CAD design and re-facing techniques, so that his skills would benefit the range of customer needs. Customers and contractors alike count on Jeff’s knowledge and experience. With a commitment to non-pressure sales, customers know that his advice is solid, and his work will be too.
Jeff and his wife raised three children in Centre Wellington, where they have stayed after recently renovating a heritage property that functions fully off the grid. Like his brother, his community is an important part of his life and he supports local service clubs, has coached numerous sports teams and volunteered at events. He believes in supporting local businesses and giving back to the community.
